A New Era of Discovery
Gravitational Waves
Dr Michael R. Landry, Caltech, discusses the new science of Gravitational Wave detection and observation. As Head of the Hanford Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory (LIGO), Dr Landry discusses LIGO's role in the discovery of the first gravitational wave in history.

Black Holes
Dr Zachariah Etienne presents a short overview of the theory of Black Holes, General and Special Relativity. This amazing area of scientific research first proved Black Holes exist and we now have successfully captured images of these incredible entities. This image is Sagittarius A or Sgr A, and is an actual image of the Super Massive Black Hole at the center of our Milky Way Galaxy.

Dark Matter & Energy
Dr Rene Laureijs, European Space Agency Euclid Lead Scientist, presented the world's first wide field space based observatory. Euclid's first mission is to image 1/3 of the visible Universe to unlock the secrets of Dark Matter, Dark Energy and more!

Exoplanets
Dr Jason Barnes, University of Idaho, presented the Planet Hunters, Exoplanets. Over 7,000 Exoplanets have now been discovered! However only 31 planets or ~.004% of the total discovered currently occupy the "Habitable Zone" not too hot and not too cold. Where life may be possible.
